DEVON GOLDSMITH, General Manager
A sixth-generation hospitalitarian, Devon Goldsmith was born to be part of the restaurant industry. His father’s family owned a small restaurant along the Potomac, where Goldsmith spent his youth rolling silverware and greeting guests. As a teenager, his earliest roles were in the back of house, first as a dishwasher, then advancing to prep cook. Following graduation, Devon entered the world of fine dining at Amour Wine Bistro in Richmond, Virginia. It was there that his passion for hospitality truly flourished. Inspired by mentors who demonstrated meticulous attention to detail and genuine generosity toward guests, he developed a deep appreciation for wine and thoughtful pairings.
After his brother moved to Chicago, Goldsmith followed, eager to continue growing within the industry. He refined his craft at Spiaggia before joining the team at Alinea. During his time within The Alinea Group, Devon became known for his ability to curate seamless, memorable guest experiences that met the group’s exacting standards. He later continued developing his leadership style at Smoque Steak, where he focused on elevating both team culture and the overall dining room experience.
Devon joined Sepia, where his passion for hospitality found a natural home. Drawn to the restaurant’s warmth and sense of camaraderie, he continues to foster the same thoughtfulness and genuine care that have defined Sepia for nearly 20 years.
